This February, we packed up our two dogs and headed out on an adventure that surprised us in so many lovely ways.

A Cabin Designed for Pets and Their People
Mill Pond Cabin loves four-legged guests and goes the extra mile to ensure that both you and your pets have a comfortable and stress-free stay. From pet essentials to spacious outdoor areas for exploration, there's lots to enjoy.
We stayed at the Mill Pond Cabin with another couple and two dogs, and we felt that there was more than enough space for all of us when it came to meals, board games and late night movies!
Pet-Friendly Amenities:
Pet Food and Water Bowls: Conveniently located in the cupboard above the fridge (if not already set out).
Large Dog Bed: Provided for your furry friend’s relaxation. We found it stored in the master bedroom under the bed.
Pets are allowed to relax on the furniture: Just ensure you bring a spare blanket to toss over the couches - it's never a bad idea to keep the furniture clean after outdoor adventures.
Nestled between two sides of beautiful forest: Perfect for nervous dogs who may be nervous or reactive to strangers, cars or other dogs.

From cozy mornings by the fire to a sauna session before bed, Mill Pond Cabin sets the stage for unforgettable experiences for both humans and pets. The main cabin and the adjacent Bunkie together provide accommodations ideal for groups of 2-3 couples, offering both privacy and togetherness in a stunning natural setting.

Bunkie Retreat
Steps away from the main cabin, the Bunkie offers additional accommodations for larger groups. My brother and his girlfriend stayed in the bunkie during our time here, and they loved how beautiful the views were from the Bunkie every morning.

Loft Space: Double bed accessed by ladder—great for adventurous sleepers.
Large windows and glass doors that showcase the surrounding forest and wetlands.

The Mill Pond Cabin has some exceptional wellness amenities, which we took advantage of every day:
Private Cedar Sauna: This sauna was absolutely beautiful... honestly one of the nicest ones I've ever experienced! The hosts also stock the sauna with essential oils to elevate your experience.
Hot Tub: Winter weather + hot tub... need I say more? Such an amazing amenity for winter getaways in Canada.
Fire Pit: Enjoy evenings filled with laughter and crackling firewood. My husband enjoyed lighting a little fire every day.
Outdoor Dining: Take advantage of the BBQ grill, pellet smoker, and patio seating for memorable meals during the warmer months.

Final Thoughts
We had an incredibly relaxing stay at Mill Pond Cabin and would definitely recommend this property to dog-lovers looking for a little R&R. This property has wonderful amenities for winter travels, making it a great option to escape those winter blues.
It was extremely cold during our stay (dipping below -21 degrees C, whew!) so while we didn't hike or explore around the area as much as we had anticipated, we truly didn't feel too upset about it. There were so many great things right at our fingertips at this location; we were happy to simply enjoy the beautifully curated space and property.
